Brookgreen Summer Lights Festival
Every Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday until August 18, 2018
Brookgreen will close at 5:00 p.m. as usual, and re-open from 7:00 p.m. to 10 p.m. Based on famous Chinese Lantern Festivals, this exhibit will inhabit Brookgreen’s Lowcountry Zoo with larger-than-life, illuminated silk lantern sculptures in a variety of native animals, insects, and plants. The festival will also include games, performances, crafts for kids, and local food truck vendors. Tickets available at Brookgreen.org. Ticket prices for members are: adults $15.00 and children 4-12 $10.00, non-members $20.00 and children 4-12 $15.00. Children 3 and under are free.

Myrtle Beach Hot Summer Nights

First Responder Fridays: First Responders receive half-off their tickets with ID courtesy of 707 Shooting Range and Goldfinch Winslow Law Firm.
Saturdays-Embrace Veterans Saturday: Celebrate veterans of the Grand Strand courtesy of Embrace Hospice.
Locals Appreciation Saturday: Save $3.00 off your game ticket when you present your local ID courtesy of Sparks Toyota and WMBF News. Saturdays also include a Postgame Fireworks Extravaganza featuring fireworks and a chance to win $50,000 courtesy of Sparks Toyota. ($25,000 to you and $25,000 to charity)

Pier Fishing
Every Thursday until August 16, 2018
Never fished from the pier? Now is your chance to learn some basics! 8:00 AM to 9:30 AM Fishing poles will be supplied, but you must replace any equipment you lose or damage. Bring your own bait, shrimp or buy some from the fishing pier. This is a catch and release program. Due to limited space (6 people), this program requires pre-registration and costs $10 per person.
